Question

The check engine light has lighted up momentarily twice recently while the car (MY97 Turbo) seems to be running OK. The search facility is out, but I remember an earlier thread where the various error codes were listed. Anyone can point me in the right direction? Thanks.

Thanks for the link, dmel, just what the doctor ordered. One more thing, if the light doesn't stay on, does that mean the error is only temporary and things are back to normal again? So far, I have not detected any change in performance.

One of many faults which cause cause the check engine light to illuminate, do so because the ecu recieves an abnormal signal.ie outwith set perameters. Just because the check engine light isn't illuminated all the time doesn't necessarily imply that there is no faults present. Check the historic data and find out which sensor(s) have been causing the light to come on. Check the sensor and wiring to make sure it's ok and reset the ecu. It sounds like a sensor may still be reading way out, but within the allowed perameters most of the time.
