Default Engine transplant,,,

Will a 96 Type RA lump & gearbox drop straight into a 98 WRX ?

IIRC, the 96 RA will be phase 1 & the 98WRX will be phase 2.

It will drop in but I'd guess wiring will need altered and an ECU swap

I have an ECU to use too, actually got the ECU from the RA and an APEXi unit too.

is that enough or will there be loom modifications too??

Not sure but I'd guess there'd be loom mods required, somebody on here will know.
