hi all, wots the best plugs to use on a 94 impreza wrx import? wen changin these shud i also change the leads aswell???

NGK PRF6-B's if standardish.

Why change the leads, any misfires?

no missfires, just thought...... dont know, lol. new plugs, mite aswell do the leads aswell

A 94 model should have coil packs, not leads, aprox £50 each to change.

No, coil on plug like a newage with only the LT wires to it.

More like £70 each new with the dreaded, 2nd hand are false economy IMHO.

so r the plugs hard to change? think i'll be able to get the driver side 1's no bother, how bout passenger side?

Passenger side you have to move the washer bottle.
Drivers side remove the airbox (or quite easy if you have an induction kit fitted).

Looks like coil packs have gone up in price since I had my old wrx, it was 5 years ago though. New ones made a big difference on my car when they were done. I'd agree with Andrew on the second hand ones, they might be ok and last ages, but then they might not. My car had about 60k on the clock when they were changed, sold it at 90k still going fine.

The newage ones seem to be lasting a lot longer, 80k on the originals and still going ok.
