Default Door mirrors - how do you chage them

I have a UK 1997 car and need to chage the mirrors as 1 is broken, I have the replacemen ones, but having a quick look in the dark I couldn't tell how to get at the mounting bracket.

Do you have to take the interior door panel off, or does the cover for the mirror mounting come off independantly?

Thanks in advance

Certainly on the new age you have to remove the interior door panel to get the WM off complete. Make sure you have well fitting tools as the screws are brass and you don't want to round these off.

From memory... remove the corner panel (small triangular) and you can access the screws.. you only need get at the electrical plug behind the door panel and if careful it will pull out enough with out fully removing..
