what are fitted to a 94 wrx and whats the max power that can be realistically made with the standard engine,turbo looks like a td05?local nonce is winding me up about how great/powerful his new wrx is and mine is piece of crap etc,he's claiming stupid power doesnt bother me but but just curious what it can make,ive seen his engine and it is standard just a decat exhaust and front mount,no remap or anything else

 

your injectors would be 380cc, think the newage wrx are the same.
You can get over 300bhp with them but would need an adjustable regulator to do so safely (ie not maxing them out)

Remind him that his car is a tub of lard and yours is lighter

td05 is good for over 300bhp (with associated fuelling mods and remap although mickywrx is running this https://www.scoobynet.com/plusprofile.php?u=48598).

injectors will max out before the turbo does but then the intercooler will hold max power as it's pretty crap on early imprezas.

he owns the 94 wrx,sorry if it came out like a new car,i meant he just bought it.i have a 99 stiV type r i have vf28 and 440cc injectors (standard).With decat i made 317 bhp last year he is claiming twice that,not really interested in racing him or anythin he wants just curious as to what power the standard wrx could make

 

seriously he is claiming more than 600bhp on a virtually standard engine (or am i taking that too literally?)

 

no he is claiming that lol,but you know the type of guy,everthing he has is bigger/better/faster.The engine looks standard but he has told everyone where we stay (small village) about his car and what it can do and i still wet myself with some of the crackers he comes out with.But 270 is a realistic guess for an unmapped car?

 

94wrx is either 240ps or 260ps (for a late 94wrx) when new add a decat +10bhp perhaps and why a fmic with no remap?

 

offer him a run down the bypass. Problem solved!

 

As myblackwrx mentioned, my cars 330bhp/290lb/ft, unmapped.

Probably not very safe though.

It is do-able, but I wouldn't recommend doing it my way/or do the same again.

 

typeR isnt very good with high speeds flat out is 140ish on my mates,never tried it on mine value my licence too much plus he has great excuses,his old rover 620i which he claimed was a turbo got caned by my mates 306xsi,his excuse was the turbo lag was so big he'd have run out of road when it came on boost so thats why we pulled away from him ill ask him if he fancys a trip to crail see what he says,cheers anyways
