The 2 litre CDB can be bored and fitted with a longer stroke Cranks to give the '2.2' engine (actually just over 2.1)
It can be stretched to 2.35 and beyond with custom liners.

The RA versionshave oil squirters to cool the underside of the pistons.

You can get CDB ripe for boring for about £200, but they will need mods for the late model cranks which have the end thrust bearings in a different place to the original crank.

The block was overbored from it's 2.0 to 2.5 and re-linered with high quality steel liners and honed for the (lateral) Wisco forged pistons giving 3 thou clearance. The rods are forged (lateral).
Bottom end is 2.5 crank blueprinted on ACL race series bearings. The block decks were checked and machined for flatness/trueness prior to build

WRX:
Mark at Lateral can do the block work as can several, but try David on Welcome to the API website for the machining and crank supply.
