All fuel injected cars run a regulator which makes sure the injectors get the right fuel pressure, an adjustable one is only needed when you are getting close or over 80% duty cycle on the injectors and AFPR will then increase pressure so as to in turn allow the injectors to fuel cc per cycle.

IIRC the hardest part of fitting the Walbro on my car was getting one of the fuel hoses off the top.

I once read that the walbro can over power the OE regulator and make it run rich? or that just a myth?
Anyone out there running a Walbro 255 with OE regulator and not having any problems? or is it specific years?

Lol... sounds like you could do with an adjustable fuel pressure regulator to up the pressure abit or bigger injectors then a chip/remap. Can't believe you got 330bhp on standard injectors and just a Z4 ECU but surley that cant be very reliable? would have thought you'd be running lean at the top end, as the 380cc injectors wont be able to flow enough fuel for the amount of air needed to produce 330bhp safely? What boost pressure you running?

In that time it's managed 2 RR days, and god knows how many drag races, plus my version of day to day driving.
What I need is some spare money, but it's that time of year.
Got a PowerFC, some 440's that need cleaned/flow tested. Bigger turbo and maybe just get bigger injectors then all fitted and mapped.
If it blow's up, then it does. Until then or until I have the cash for stuff, well, good luck to it
Disclaimer: Do not under any circumstances follow my lead, and hope for any sort of reliability, or to not sustain a blown up engine. My blase approach shoud not be copied.
