Default Do ported heads give better turbo spool?

As above, if you've got an engine apart would porting the heads give you an earlier spool?

I do mean heads, not headers!

Cheers

Porting the head is done to improve flow. better flow through the head should mean better flow to the exhaust,...... but you'd be best doing the headers to match the head like most people do as you'd still have the exhaust gases 'hitting' the face of the unported headed and loosing velocity.

Hello mate, I've got a set of Harvey's ported headers and upipe fitted, which lowered the spool on my VF35 by about 300 rpm. I was wondering if porting the heads would give the similar gain, if I fit a bigger turbo?

Cheers

Anders
