Seem to be fine but what about warrenty or back up if anything goes wrong.
If you want to have safety of mind then have a look here Enduring Solutions Limited
or try here PolarPerformance (same mappable chip but he doesa simple plug in chip)

TV repair shops should be able to solder it in.
All the people who deal with the chips i've mentioned will fit the chip when either mapping the daughterboard or just putting in the standard chip so i would guess their know what they're doing and if they do **** it up it would be up to them to replace it (under guarentee)

Anyone competent with a soldering Iron should be able to do it TBH. Im no expert but didn''t struggle to do it on mine. Just sat in the living room doing it on my coffee table whilst the misses watched eastenders!
I wouldn't recomend trying to do it if you haven't done any pcb work before though!
