Question

Does any one have the Blitz Stainless Steel Filter? Have any problems with it?

I've just bought one but am wondering whether it was a wise move.

I have heard that it gives substantially higher airflow to the engine *BUT* its filtration is poor compared to other aftermarket filters...

I previously had a K&N filter but heard that the oil from these filters slowly knackers the MAF sensor...

Any feedback greatly appreciated.

fitted blitz to my p1..no problems yet you take pot luck with any filter they all have good and bad points..oil from foam ones can get sucked into the afm and dry ones let in more air and more dust

The blitz has been talked poorly of when it comes to film AFS reliability.

I keep to cotton/paper filters a la Zero Sports or Prova which both have nice heavy frames to stop air creeping round the sides or pull through.

There seems to be quite a bit of luck involved in all this though...

Cheers.

I've got one on my P1 as well - no probs, although I've only had it 4-5K. Makes a great noise as well and you don't have to worry about changing the filter either!!!

No problems with mine either.
took it off today and tapped it gently over a sheet of paper, the amount of crap that fell out was amazing (well...quite amazing for a sunday afternoon)

Many thanks for the replies.

Judging by the replies in general, sounds like I was just being paranoid...

Thanks all for putting my mind at rest.
