Default Boost Pipe Restrictor 1993 JDM WRX

Hi what happens if I remove the restrictor completely from the pipe on a 1993 WRX as I understand that on the older models that the larger the restrictor the more boost you get ?

if you remove it then there is a chance you will bugger the sloenoid up, as it releses boost pressure if it escapes to quick then you will lose boost, it feels like more as you have to overboost for a split 2nd, so i'd leave it where is,

If you remove the little brass restrictor in the lower boost solonoid pipe you'll run less boost (if running standard boost it'll drop to around 0.5bar)

WRONG.... removal of boost restrictor on MY93-96 from the lower pipe will cause boost spikes and possible fuel-cut.
The 93-96 restrictor has the reverse effect to the 97> restrictor due to it's different location and the 3-port solenoid.
