I've asked this before, so sorry, but .....
I cannot remember the answers!
I would like to take the battery out of my MY00 Classic - I think I need a new one and I would like to clean the area around it. Also, I am thinking of changing my plugs and it could do with being out the way.
My Alarm blurb says that if the battery supply is cut from the alarm then it will go off - what happens when I disconnect the battery?
Has the Alarm got an internal battery which will kick-in and keep power to the alarm?
Will the ECU RESET if the battery is off the car for about 5 hours while charging?
What do I do? Thanks, and I will print off the answers this time!!

You will be fine, as long as the alarm is disarmed (which it will be as you have to disarm it to open the doors/bonnet ). The ECU will reset.
as an extra precuation make sure you have the pin number for the keypad handy incase it gets confused when you plug the battery back in again

Those bloody spindly, fiddly battery clamp rods drive me nuts. If you don't ahve to disturb them so much the better.
Go for battery type VBZ 42 from Motaquip. we user it on all fmic conversions it makes life MUCH simpler.

You're not trying to sell Pete an FMIC there are you David?
I'll nominate you for salesman of the year if you manage it
I'll nominate you for salesman of the century if you sell him a knocklink though!
