Increased fuelling with new exhaust?...
Just had my 98 classic serviced and re-run on a dyno with some interesting results.
Since my last dyno run all i've had was a ss centre de-cat pipe and ss ninja backbox.
First run with car as standard (+kn panel filter):
max power: 215 bhp
max torque: 220 ftlb
afr: just under 14 at 2400rpm, 13 at 3200rpm, just over 12 at 4000 rpm onward.
Latest run with new exhaust & centre pipe fitted:
max power: 223 bhp
max torque: 215 ftlb
afr: just under 14 at 2400rpm, shooting to almost 11 at 3200rpm, just over 10 at 4000 rpm onward.
Can anyone explain why the fuelling has increased so much with just a new exhaust?
Will a boost controller help regain a bit of low-down torque and use up some of that extra fuel?
Cheers.
