v9 rear thrust crankshaft

Default v9 rear thrust crankshaft

hi everyone ive got sat on a shelf at the garage a closed deck 2.0 block from a 96 sti ra ive also bought some omeg pistons and h beam rods just been looking for different options as regards crankshaft am i right in thinking that a version 8 sti spec c crankshaft is nitrided? and will it fit with the parts i have already aqcuired? And whats the difference between a rear thrust crank and a centre main crank??

iirc it is the sti 9 crank that is nitrided and has extra cross drilliings where as the sti 8 has the extra cross drillings but is not fully nitrided. A sti 5,6,7,8,9 crank is rear thrust (no.5 journel) and your block will be centre thrust, to fit the rear thrust crank your block will need machining.
