Default Air filters help

hello chaps , pretty new to this site , i need some help on my w reg 2000 turbo , i have just bought the car in the last few months. new bottom end and remap 30k ago , it came with green stuff panel filter that i have now change to kn bolt on propper job , but its seems to realy flat i have reset the ecu and still have the problem , its sound great but with this problem guna have to put the airbox back on ,,,,,, can anyone help me plzzzz

Perhaps the MAF Sensor wants cleaning??

watch the k+ns for the oil they are coated with,the oil plays havoc with the maf,i had this problem before i changed to an hks,i put a maf on every month nearly

"K&N bolt on proper job" I assume you mean the cone filter? I would respectfully suggest that you remove the thing, replace the original (proper!) airbox with a new panel filter, and see if it improves. Also, as suggested, clean the MAF sensor with a spray of brake cleaner. On an otherwise standard engine, the cone things are good for more noise and nothing much else.

cheer lads !!!! so what maf sensor is that a map sensor, i sprayed sum brakecleaner though the vacum pipe cuming off the turbo leading to the map sensor , cleaned air flow meter , also i sprayed a bit of w..d on airfilter which i think should nt of done, should i put air box with the green stuff air filter i also have an sti panel as well
