Slooshing sound near glovebox??
Afternoon,
I've recently noticed a slooshing, gurgling sound coming from behind my dash on the passenger side, seems to happen nearer to start up, or first few minutes. Not sure where there is any fluid so close to the cab? Any ideas? no visible leaks, all fluid levels fine, no overheating or steam from exhaust.
not overly worried, just wondered if anyone had similar?
05 sti PPP by the way
cheers

Its around there that the water from the engine comes into the heater matrix. You might have some air in the system. Could be worth checking coolant levels and for bubbles in the header tank??
You fuel lines also enter the engine bay in this area too.
So check the carpet for wet patches etc.

I think I had that when my radiator finally gave up the ghost. I had a gurgling sound as the water level dropped and the air from the vents went cold due to the lack of hot water. Oddly the temp gauge showed nothing untoward.
Good luck
