Default WRX and Turbo2000

Excuse my ignorance but what's the difference between a WRX and Turbo2000 Classic shapes?

Slightly better spec on the wrx (import only obviously),better interior,more power ,different gear ratios (i think).

Think they're around 240-250 standard. Maybe someone can explain engine spec differences to account for it.

wrx 240ps to 280ps
Turbo 2000 208bhp - 215 bhp

Pretty sure there is no difference betwwen the engines just the ecu mapping but I'm not sure.

Just remember thats those figures for a japanese import are based on japanese fuel which is 102ron I think.

was it 102ron 15 years ago when the pre facelift classic was starting out,
i had a z4 ecu fitted out of a 95/96 wrx and that showed no knock activity in 12 months running it on v power 98 ron (no booster)with a full decat.
in my experience the early imports are fine on v power or tescos 99ron even with a full decat,im sure it wasnt that high a do ron ron rating in japan for the pre facelift classic anyway.
