Default Someone on here must have done this????

I have a my98 intercooler, i want to fit to my my94 wrx, i have no problem plating up the old bov pipe, i have new brackets for the ic itself, but i cannot see how to hose it up to the turbo, Samco do kits, sh004, and tcs22 which both have dv outlets for the oem recirc bov, they both fit fine onto the turbo itself, but how have people connected the new hose to the intercooler itself???, there is a plastic y piece under there, the samco kits are just a tube (not a y), help please!

Just been for a look on the samco website and it looks like you have the kit which suits MY96 and before. You need TCS86

I think you need the Pre96 Samco Kit, a samco kit for the 97/98 Intercooler and an Ally joiner.
You basically cut the 2 kits in half and join with the Ally joiner.

RobEvo5 done this on one of his many vehicles, so maybe worth giving him a shout.
IIRC he also re-used one of the brackets (o/s bracket) by inverting it and drilling another couple of holes in it.

I have fitted a 98 tmic to my94.
The only difference is that my tmic is the sti version which came with the alloy Y piece. So the v1/v2 samco turbo hose kit works perfect once you have reduced the length of the samco hose kit.

With your 98 tmic being a uk version is does not have the alloy y piece.
Option 1 would be to find a 98sti Y piece for your tmic & then get the v1/v2 samco turbo hose kit.

Option 2 would be to get the samco v3/v4 turbo hose kit. Along with a alloy T hose adaptor. Cut the samco hose & add the alloy hose adaptor. That way you can then retain your standard dv & its position. It just means you need another smaller hose to connect the dv. As well as extra jubilee clips.
