Default Banging grrrr

Had this problem for a while now .............every little bump on the road I can hear a baning coming from the rear, firstly I thought i was the spoiler.......tightened that up, still the same. Now I have totally removed the spoiler and spare wheel.........still there............checked the exhaust........seems to be hanging correctly .......However if you press the back end up and down there seems to be a slight bang/knock..........any ideas!!

Thanks

Thought I was going mad! I fitted Cussco coilovers which are very VERY hard! I also get a knocking noise from the rear. Is there a cure? or do I just turn the music up?

Front passenger side has developed a clonking too since fitting coilys to the point I was out with a spanner as it sounded like it was gonna drop off

sorry to hijack the thread

replacing the topmounts perhaps but for me i'm going to change to sti5/6 suspension as the Jap spec coilivers are fecking hard (as you know),but if you've seen the state of their roads you'll know why they are as so smooth it's unbeliveable.

top mounts should be ok as they are Cussco adjustable type. begining to think maybe the front anti sway bar bushes might be playin up.

The rear clonked before i replaced the suspension, and still does it now!

I have had the front and back ends off the deck trying to recreate the knock but it just wont do it. Its driving me bonkers

Anyone wanna swop some coilovers for sti suspension

Try your jack in the rear body is located tightly, rear droplinks can also cause this.
