Default stalling and spluttering-please help diognose!

can anyone help. recently my 96 uk turbo had been abit dodgy. it keeps dropping to a low rpm idle, say 600-700 rpm as opposed to about 800rpm normally, then if i put the clutch in when braking sharply it splutters abit and sometimes stalls. i put it down to the blitz bov being too open, but have since tightened the spring. Then today when giving it abit in 3rd gear, it held back when i got to near the top of the rev range. only really seemed to do it in 3rd but i didnt try too much as i didnt want to brake anything!
any suggestions??

I had a problem on 93wrx with an old style Blitz vta , it was fine for about 2 years then started stalling at junctions, i removed it and replaced with an original valve cured the problem.
