I've just read there's a new banding called "G" which is ment for 06 onwards cars...

Just seen this info:

I'm sure my last 6 month road tax bill was £165 and yet my car is an 2002 model...anyone got the same?

my 2005 Spec C was registered in the UK in July 06 so im in the band G

remember its the date of registration in the UK not the manufacturer date apparently this appies to cars after 2001

Hmm, well mine was registered in early 02, I'll have to check my reg documents.

A JDM STi isn't banded because it's not a UK model. So your road tax should be the same as my JDM STi. £180 per year.
Check your log book for a CO figure, there shouldn't be one.

That's a little sweet for imports then - just shows going for road tax isn't as it says on the tin if scooby tc got charged Band G.

So should mine, being registered on 02 so in the "new" co2 bandings be a Band G even though its not registered after 06? Seems to be what's happened! Who can you check this with? DLVA?

JDM STi's are banded and yes it does have the co on the V5 also on the tax disc is says £300
