current power is 95bhp and 143Nm torque standard. what are the best and cheapest methods of getting more power out of the engine reliably?

Frankly you won't....

The exhaust isn't restrictive, nor is the inlet, no point in cams as its peaky enough as its is.

Just enjoy it until you can trade up to something with more power, if you want a bit more 'character' then cat back same age turbo exhaust I understand will fit.
