strange rr day result
car is a type r v4 sti
sti 8 bottom end
trust equal length headers (lagged)
3 inch full decat exhaust (dp lagged)
440's
hks induction kit
simtek
walboro 255
sard fpr
md304 (vf22 hybrid) (heat blanket fitted)
306bhp & 291lb/ft
does that seem right, car is 95% remapped just needing final tweaks on dyno, cant see it making another 30bhp & 30lb/ft is the turbo the limiting factor? target figure was 350/350 please advise

Looks all good, I'm geussing Fuel pressure is not high enough, I take it the sard is Adjustable? Get the mapper to check fuel pressure before the final tweeks as if you are running standard Fuel pressure, this will explain the lack of Horses.

Check the spec on mine, it made 310 brake - can't remember torque figure. What boost pressure are you running?

tsolf hello mate its finley44 from ladsoc, sure david said 1.5bar, sard is adjustable, 95% finished as it was getting late, roads were wet & pat the map said it would be better tweaking it on the dyno, so waiting for him to get back to me then its of to scoobyclinic, thanks for all replies

Are you saying you ran it on a rolling road to get the above power figures ? Before it was fully mapped ? Sounds a bit risky ?
MD304 has made 350bhp on a Link and Apexi ECU as far as I'm aware.

Don't see the point mapping it on the road and finishing the map on the RR but he must have his reasons. Hope you get it sorted

Pat & I terrified ourselves mapping the car in the rain and the dark. We abandoned the map session because it was 8 pm and were not going to be able to get any more high speed / high revs runs on the car safely.
The map has a few rough edges and is mostly there. Just the last few tweaks needed.
The 440's will limit it to 330 - [ish ] hp at 3 bar fuel pressure which is where it is at. The MD304 is not a large turbo by todays standards and is barely bigger than a VF28/29/30 - 350 is a top of the range figure for the turbo in my opinion.
In any case the turbo actuator is suspect as we experienced an inability to get it below 1.4 bar.
There were a set of 550's to be fitted, but they looked distinctly dubious as they had electrolysis corrosion growth over various places and we sorted out a set of 440's that would do the job at the spec of the engine.
The boost is set to about 1.4 bar which is not high but the engine has standard hyper-eutectic [ pronounced : bullsh*t ] pistons fitted which are doubtful for strength above 1.3 bar.
Given the limitations the above poses, a nearly mapped result of 306 is OK . It should come up a bit on the rollers but not to 350 for sure.
Bigger turbo needed to get there TD05 / 18G is my selection.

y not just go back to the origional people and ask the question than come on here askign 60,000+ people who will give you anywhere up to 70,000+ different answers?
asking y a none fully mapped car doesn't make certain figures is like asking y a ship with no bow lanuch out of dry dock sinks.
wait till full figures are known, and since its pat and david sorting it, ask them, there top guys and know there stuff so will give you good advice.
