Default dumpvalve help (again)

ive fitted a forge motorsport dumpvalve to my 1995 wrx import but i think its the wrong kind the model number is fmdv001 now forge say this atmospheric valve is not suitable for cars with an airflow metre so will this valve not work correctly and will it cause any damage to my scoob?

The DV will 'work' properly and it won't damage the engine, but the engine will run evry rich during gear changes giving the odd pop and bang and somtimes an inconsistent pick up when you get bcak on the throttle...
