I've just noticed a beeping/whistling noise that seems to come from the drives side, behind the dashboard/engine bay. It lasts about 1 second then stops, it's not very load. 97 UK turbo.

Anybody else got or had this noise, if so what the effin hell is it and how do you make it go away, other than flooring it or turning up the stereo.

could be ice warning.

I get it sometimes on very cold days, usually only one or two beeps before the engine warmth starts to build.

 

Ice warning, did know I had one, cool - excuse the pun.
