Default Wrapping intercooler Pipes

If you have a look at View my scoob, you can see the Intercooler pipe which passes over the turbo to the Throttle.

The pipe is getting heated by the turbo, I was wondering if anyone has similar intercooler pipework and if they have wrapped the Intercooler to TB pipe and noticed any change in Intake temps.

Also would you use normal Exhaust wrap to insulate the pipe or is there something different available for intercooler pipes?

You need reflective insulating material, it has the normal glass fibre insulator on the inside with a aluminum foil on the outside. I got a load from fleabay for my rotated set-up, look for the one with the highest radiant heat properties.

It is worth wrapping the pipe from the FMIC to the throttle body so it does not pick up engine bay heat.
There is no point wrapping the pipe from the turbo compressor to the intercooler as that contains hot or warm air.
I use DEI exhaust wrap for this purpose and then apply a "cool tube" which is silver and reflective and improves the appearance as well as adding to the insulation.
Both available from Nimbus Motor Sport.
