Default Blleding New rad issues

Hi Guys.

Due to my radiator starting to leak today i had to get another unit. Only discovered it after my repam with Andy F. The cars when driving was nocking around 89/90.

So after a trip to ASP he showed me were it ws leaking.

Basicly i replaced the Rad and connected all the pipes.

Then i filled the header tank up it took 5 litres untill the header tank was full. I then started the car up and slowly fitted it up as the level dropped.

The heaters were blowing HOT at around 60 Degrees and did throught the run, i squeezed the top and bottom pipes throught out the event. The car got up to 91 and the fans kicked in. I then replaced the cap and took her for a spin and the temprature went up to 92 93 94 95, When i stuck my foot down the temprature went back down to 88 but then crept back to 91.

The bottom hose isnt getting hot.

Any ideas guys its sat in the garage now with the header tank off??? should i let it cool down over night with the cap off??

Andy

It could be that the rad is working

Hot into the top and cold out of the bottom

Did you fit a new thermostat and flush the system whilst the rad was off?
