Default 2004 sti ppp upgrade path

Hey guys...1st post on here....!!!

I have just purchased a 2004 sti with PPP.

Can you tell me what my best upgrade path is...

I believe the standard car is 305 bhp... what do i need to do to get up to around 400bhp?

I have a turbosmart variable blow of valve and a K&N replacement filter.

cheers.

To get to 400 bhp you will need:

MD321 Turbo
Sard 650 injectors
Full 3" decat exhaust
Ecutek remap

Will cost near the £3k mark to have it installed & set up.

wouldnt bother doing it in stages as it would cost you a lot more in the long run, as you would need to remap the car several times. ie if you just fit the turbo, you will have to have a remap, and the same if you just fit the injectors.
i believe that the 04 ppp already has an uprated fuel pump, and no need to bother with an induction kit as your replacement panel filter can cope with the figure you are looking to achieve .
a boost controller is also not essential, but saying that the avc-r is a good bit of kit.

on new age cars the map needs adjusting for all the listed parts above, so as said save the pennys and get it done in one, will prob save you £600-800 in map tweeking fees

Thanks Guys.

Done a bit more research and a company over here are offering to fit an ECUtek and remap for £500 and should increase to 350BHP...sounds to good to be true?

cheers

A remap alone won't achieve this.

I would recommend geting the exhaust and remap done first as this may only set you back 1 to 1.5k. This should get you 340 ish.

You might get around 350bhp with just a remap. This is definitely at the top end of what may be possible with your current spec. Every car will respond differently to a remap ... some make more power ... some less .... even with the exact same spec. I can assure you that you will definitely feel the difference ... just make sure you go to one of the well respected mappers ... as they will be able to get the absolute best from your car, safely.
