Default Induction kits Hawkeye WRX

hi all I am thinking of adding an induction kit to my 06 WRX which has already had some work done to it and is sitting at around the 280 -290 mark (thanks Zen) probably go for some kind of cold air set up replacing the front fogs and the reasoning behind the mod is .A. to benefit power, and secondly and if I am honest to increase the noise of the car if it more of a balanced sound.

Does any one have any recommendations? and Y

Would the car need a remap (thinking of getting a new turbo and sti intercooler at the end of the year so it would be mapped then would it be possible to run the kit till then with out a new map ?

thanks

I may be wrong, but at your level of tune I'm sure just a panel filter woill suffice.

Ah ok. Not sure what mods you already have but the best way to get a good sound out of the hawkeye is to remove the centre resonator and the cat (or at least a sports cat to keep it road legal). Just my 10p worth anyway. You would need a remap if you do anything with the cat.

Thanks, although I am not finished yet. Getting an a-line spoiler next month.

I got it remapped by Andy Forrest up in Edinburgh.

At your state of tune it really isn't worth it though if you still want to do it an RCM induction kit is the way to go with cold air feed

I get a great inlet noise using £15 of grey drain pipes to replace the std snorkel. This keeps the std air box and panel filter. It needs a remap though, so best add it with the other bits.
