lamba sensor fault

lamba sensor fault
hello would a faulty lamba sensor stop car from starting ie if wiring that goes in to lamba is knacked and also would this show up on ecu test if it was because my car wont start and tried everthing else. thanks dan

Shouldn't stop your car from starting cause the sensor takes a few mins to warm up and start working propper.If you do want to check it with a volt meter this is what you need to look out for:
A reading no higher than 0.60V and no lower than 0.30V means she's knackered.
Did you check the battery since you don't drive it regularly also is it fitted with an immobiliser?

had it hooked to my van with jump leads so power there fuel pump priming fuel getting to engine and got spark on all four fit close deck block short engine had heads checked, valve and clearances timing is also correct my imobiliser is alarm type where i turn ignition then press fob and ignition lights come on then crank it but does not start no fault codes found on ecu test

Is there fuel to your injectors? Try and removing them when trying to start i would suggest and see is there vapour? Cause if she's sparking and there's no faults.....Fuel ?
