whats up everybody, excuse me if im posting this in the wrong area but im new so im not used to this forum yet. names mike im looking into buying an sti but im not sure what year i should get. i know i cant afford an 06 or 07 so im looking at years 03 and 04 maybe 05 if i can find one for less than 23k. but id like to know the difference in the models besides body style of course. i heard they upped the horsepower and torque between the 03 and 04 models. is this true? ive tried doing some research but the numbers fluctuate wherever i look i cant find any reliable information. i would idealy like to have a good 400whp 400wtq so any information as to how i could achieve that on an 03 or 04 would be good. so i guess what im trying to ask is.

1. what are they differences between the 03 and 04 motor and tranny wise.

2. what are some basic mods i could start out with that will show good hp and tq increases?
