Question Is good vacuum an indicator of...

engine health..?

Presumably, any dodgy valves/seals or piston rings would effect vacuum strength..?
Or am I just

nope not accurate enough. better use compression tester

it is a useful addition to your "diagnostic tools",provided you can understand what the different Vaccum readings mean between a healthy and sick engine.
Try Googling your Question and spend a bit of time reading up.

BTW I was referring to the vacuum reading you get from a boost gauge..

Just thought it may be more useful than given credit for, as a lot of scoob owners have them fitted.
