Where to start, direction required :)
I've now had my MY94 STI for a short while and have got the bug to start messing about with improving/modifying/uprating it in general.
As far as body sytling goes i only want to sort out the front splitter, but as for mechanical/technical options thats really what i want to play with .
Looking to sort handling and power and any parts that will be more reliable etc, as i want to use the car for some track days next year but this is also my day to day car.
So looking at suspension, and anything under the hood.... suggestions welcome, well actually suggestions required otherwise a pointless post

Speak to 911 (that's what he posts as) as he has gone through a lot of choices of suspension, have a look at his car (also happens to be a STI 4 https://www.scoobynet.com/scooby.php?profileid=144).
power wise better fuel pump,bigger injectors, remappable ecu (there are alot out there complete replacements of ones that fettle your standard ecu),fmic
Get a power figure say 350bhp should be good as it's a reasonable figure and should be fairly easy to get to.

Mine is also an everyday car which I use for two or three trackdays a year. Engine spec I won't go into now, but handling wise, I'm on Eibach springs with KYB gas dampers, Whiteline rear adjustable anti roll bar, front and rear droplinks and anti-lift kit, standard 16" Subaru rims with Michelin Pilot Exalto plus Whiteline geometry settings. The thing corners like its on rails; both a proper sports car specialist and a well-known Scooby specialist have commented about the corner speed it can carry which would have most Scoobys understeering off into the nearest kerb. The tyres don't seem to have any unusual wear at all. I guess what I'm saying is there's a lot of advice on Scoobynet, but you can get a very nicely handling car without spending thousands on the fancy gear.

tbh, if it handles well then the power can come after, i dont want to go crazy, but you know how these things go, ill sort out some new dampers/springs or coilovers and some lighter rims, once done it'll be something more etc etc etc...
So yes thanks silent running, good advise.
Blackwrx - ill probably go with the injectors and fuelpump ecu route once the thing sticks like glue.
Hopefully with the sale of my clio tomorrow ill have a few grand sitting burning a hole in my account
I had apex dampers and springs on my last car, bit hard of a ride tbh, so will be looking at better suspension setup and wheels first me thinks, ive still got some wolfrace pro race milled face alloys to sell so the new wheels wont cost too much overall. Thanks for the start guys, maybe ill have to call this my new project.

yep i was looking at brakes, however i have split rims with a small internal diameter at the moment, so will swap brakes at same time as my wheels, not sure what to go for yet though...

Yes that's a point, mine runs the late classic 294mm discs with 4 pot calipers, plus the usual Goodridge hoses and DOT 5.1 fluid. I use DBA slotted discs and £30 OMP pads which have so far stood up to every punishment whether on road or at trackdays. I wouldn't want any less braking capability, that's for sure.
