Default Help with new Parts

I will be purchasing a new cold air intake and new catback exhaust soon. my questions are... what's the best catback out there.? iv'e heard of some exhuast not having enought back pressure..so i am trying to stay away from those..Also the best cold air intake<? will it be necessary to get a new up and down pipe as well<? thanks all this is for a 2003 mprza wrx

'Not enough back pressure' is bulls4!t especially after the nice pressure generating cats, go with what looks and sounds right for you.

Not sure why you want to change the exhaust up-pipe for a cold air intake....

Cold air intake, the best is the one designed and fitted to your car free by Subaru unless you'r chasing bigger numbers than you currently look like your after!

I see...I just read that a Cold air intake would add better throttle response< RIght now it's just pulling from the box< For some reason i actually think the car got slower ever since i removed the resonator and ramair<Any suggestions for the best after-cat kit out there<? thanks Simon

A CAI doesn't add throttle responce, it can't!

If you removed the ramair cold intake thats standard and are now sucking hot engine bay air through the fender into the airbox, you possibly have lost power, put it back.

I could recomend catbacks from this side of the Atlantic, but NASIOC would be a better place for you!

What brands though of catbacks? and so your saying that even after i taped up the fender wing hole i am still sucking up hot air"?..........go to this> American Etching & Manufacturing.com and read the product info of the cold air intake...V2 by the way< I think i will replace the standard silencer and ram< thanks Simon

Iv'e just heard that the 2 basic and easist way to bring up the potential of the wrx is too add cold air induction kit....replace the up and down pipe..and get a catback exhuast...
