Default Coolant loss

Is it possible to lose a lot of coolant but still have an engine that is fine - i.e. no headgasket/cylinder crack problems?

Was a bit worried after a track day as I had lost over a litre of coolant on the day. Car seems to be driving fine and boosting fine

Last time I was loosing coolant it was cracks in the cylinder heads but I wasnt getting full boost and I could tell there was a compression problem

Should I be worried - is it normal to lose a litre of coolant on a track day?

Have you checked all the pipes?, 1 litre of coolant loss is a little extreme in my eyes, hopefully just something simple, got my fingers crossed for ya.

Cant see any obvious leeks

I'm going to fill up the expansion breather this evening and go for a quick spin to check it..........

Before the track day I got a cyclinder compression check done and this was ok

If the cylinders are cracked it will be the 3rd time in the last 10,000 miles..........

Just filled the expansion breather with coolant and taken the car for a spin and there are a small amount of bubbles coming through the coolant which isnt a good sign - also the coolant has a lot of metal looking bits in it which doesnt look good either - look like metal/white bits....

I also destroyed my ap discs after 2 slots at Coombe on Friday - they warped badly

I now officially hate Subaru's
