Default endine detail problem

im new 2 the whole impreza thing, bought an import Type RA WRX needs an EJ20G engine, tho ive been told there are varyations in the engine mounting locations is this true? and does any1 know where i can find a reasonably priced engine? chassis plate code is EJ20GDW2HJ

Try either Grade A, Universal Salvage or Hills Motors.

i bought a 95 wrx engine complete except for turbo imported from japan from here for £650 and it runs sweet as a nut

It's not the engine mounting locations, it's the inlet manifold studs (92-98 and 99- )

The 92-96 are all the same. the 97-98 has a slightly different breather arrangement and water cross pipe, but if you use the bare engine and use your own everything else, it will work.

it would be beneficial to have a re-map once the new engine is in.
