Default what sensor is it?

while fitting td05 today,i noticed a potentiometer on the inlet manifold, just at the side of the intake pipe to turbo connection.
it also looks like there is one on the manifold on n/s aswell.
anyone know what they are?

cheers

done some searching and it is a potentiometer for some flap things in manifold, think it was called tgv and is something to do with emissions when cold.
apparently there is a mod to get rid of the flaps to reduce restriction, will look at doing that when i fit the manifold spacers
