Default Afterburner Centre Section

Well, after promising myself I wasn't going to mod the scoob, I bought myself an after burner centre section. Made a noticable difference to that flat four burble - love it!

However, there has been an issue with getting the thing to fit! I noticed that where the front part of the new section is bolted to the cat, it has 2 bolts with springs on them. Presume this is to allow movement?

Only problem, being that these bolts do not clamp the two sections together tight enough and I get exhuast gases leaking out.

Temporarily cobbled together a couple of blots and washers to clamp it all up nice and tight but i did away with the springs.
Is this likely to cause a problem? i.e. is it supposed to be rigid or flexible?

it is clear that with the new centre section it needs to be fixed proper tight in order to 'seal' the joint.

Advice appreciated on this one!
