Default Oil pressure

Ok folks, new to Subaru's. Picked up a 1991 Loyale FWD for my daughter last night - it'll be her first car. The vehicle is in really nice condition but I have a question about the oil pressure sending unit. Currently the gauge doesn't move when you start the engine - however - I know it's got oil pressure as the oil "climbs" the dipstick when the engine is running, the engine is quiet and, well, I've driven it close to 100 miles since we picked it up last night.

Anyhow - where's the sending unit for the OP gauge? I suspect that either the unit is bad OR the wire has come off.

Thanks

Steve
