Default APS CAD with FMIC on classic, pics inside

got one of the aps cad on friday, and that evening i set about having a go at fitting it. i got my self a new filter to go on the end of it.

I have done a fair bit of searching but could not find really any info on the aps cad and fmic (autobahn88) and the ones i did find, people cut the inner wing, and i did not want to go this route as wanted to keep things looking neat.

this is what i bad before. a apexi induction kit and home make heat sheild. this worked well very well, but i all ways wanted a aps cad deep down.

this brings us to the aps cad.
when i starded to cut the fmic pipes, i thought to my self WTF am i doing here!!! all i had was basic tools and done all the cutting with a tesco value junior hack saw!. i used old bits of hose i had from old cars to join the cut up fmic pipes together, then covered in heat wrap stuff.

i extented the filter down into the inner wing abit more by a couple of inches.

comments welcome

Didn't buy this off a guy called Will did you?

It just looks like my old one, the combination of black cast elbow and that clay coloured hose on the end.

I could be wrong though lol

Yeah it was mine then lol. The stainless filter had some abuse in the two years it was on my car.

I'm in the process of going for a rotated GT30R so the APS kit was surplus to requirements.

Am looking at an Apexi filter but with a home made induction tract but still retaining the Maf housing as I am still using MAF for now.
