hi does anyone know if the standard wrx sti down pipe will fit a 3inch s/s bottom pipe are the flanges the same size????

a 3inch bore middle section pipe will fit the standard down pipe

 

The standard exhaust system are a 2.5" so a 3" center section will no will not fit.

Just out of interest, why would you keep the standard DP but want to change to a 3" after the cat? Even if you could do this (ie have a 2.5" flange at the DP) you would gain very little as you are only losing one cat but keeping the main restriction (cat) in the stock DP.

basically because the system was 150 quid lol for a hks system
so im on the look out for a down pipe

 

obviously mine wasnt a standard down pipe then as the 3inch bore middle section bolted straight on...........
