Did you discover a particular reason or did it just say "sod it - I've had enough"
All the shells show signs of distress - was there an oil feed problem?

Not entirely sure mate, 2 and 3 had both gone. One of them (no.2) had no bearing left at all. Totally disintegrated. The journal on the crank was .75mm undersized!

The engine spun a shell whilst going round silverstone, but i'm not too sure wether it was own to surge or overheated oil which has broken down that has done it.

Make sure you get the RCMS oil pump for the rebuild.

Don't suppose you fancy sending me the B type left hand piston do you?

Rebuilding a friends car but he aint got much cash for parts.

It's no use to me mate. You can have them all for the price of postage if you want. I personally wouldn't use the one where the bearing went as it has been banging the head and a couple of them are scored, but I'm sure that there will be one ok.. Need the rods too?

Is the RCMS one any different to the API one?

Mongo, call me, we can sort you out for right money. Oil pump too.

Daz, if one of Mongos pistons won't do for you, we've probably got one around somewhere.
