Default turbo upgrade

not to hot with all the different turbos and numbers, what turbo would be the next step up from the standard v5 sti turbo (vf28 i think). looking to acheive 350-400 bhp, is my standard top mount ok for this or would a front mount be advisable. fuel pump and reg is already in the pipeline(all going well with a deal with a mate), and 3'' from the turbo back is already done, im thinking if i get all this done one map of the original brain will do instead of a replacement ecu. some help would be apreciated.

thanks seamus

I am going the same route now with my V5 Type R, I am aiming around 400bhp, so with what you have you will need a set of 550 injectors (maybe up the pressure too) and Something like the MD321H (im going for this) SC42 (scoobyclinic) the TD05-18g(380bhp ish) there are others but the ones listed have a good record so far, and a remap (EcuTek)

you have read me like a book, things are a bit more crystal now, are you going to run on standard internals and intercooler.

p.s like the motor, same colour as mine.

I have the STI 8 topmount but standard internals, the V5 block is quite tough when in the right state of tune, as long as the supporting mods have been done,
It is the best colour
