Speed sensor fault?

Has came up on type ra sti with cable speedo. Anyone came across this? I take it the speed sensor is in the dash cluster electronics. Where?
Whats the cure?

Speedo working 100%. Car goes into limp mode. If I leave the diagnostic plugs connected she runs fine.

Mmmm. Mine did the same, went to limp mode etc. But my speedo cable had become loose! Sorry bud.
