FIRST POST........ be gentle please

Need some advice, i've read lots of threads on what backbox people recommend and understand that mostly it comes down to personal taste

I've got 2007 wrx and am looking to change the backbox to improve the sound i'm not planning to de-cat in the future and want to avoid excessive motorway drone.

I am looking to at afterburner vortex ( too loud ?) ninja or racebox ( too quiet) or maybe prodrive.

I've been told the 2.5 are alot quiter then the 2.0 so i'm leaning towards the afterburner - interested in anyone has done the same?

what are your thought guys?

I have a Prodrive rear box for sale if you're interested. Removed from RB320 after 1000 miles. Not excessively noisey at speed.

You will need to change the centre section for a straight through section to get the burble, but all your above choices sound good to me. I have a Magnex system on mine and the sound is about right, its not to bad on the motorway but sounds great when you open it up!

Bide your time especially if you are new to the Subaru scene.

Most people make an impulsive buy when it comes to exhausts which they later regret and have to sell up to get the system they really want.

Personally I would go for the Vortex and when you decide to mod it further you can easily add the res/de-res centre section and Ninja sports cat.
