Red face Help identify this noise PLEASE!!

This is driving me crazy!!

My car started making a clunk noise from the front centre. Initially it was only as I came to a compete stop you would hear a faint click. This has got steadily worse and now it is driving me mad. In this video: http://www.notachicken.com/car/noise.mp4
I am in 1st coming on and off the accelerator so that I am rapidly slowing and speeding up and you can hear it clunking back and forward.

I have taken the car to my usual mechanic who has been totally unable to locate the problem. It is getting worse by the day and I am worried something is going to fall off eventually!

The noise is as you can tell quite loud and sounds like it is something fairly weighty, in fact you can sometimes feel it through your feet.

Does anyone have any clues as to what it might be?

Ok took it to the pros and they did this:
Removed intercooler to inspect gearbox support, found to be under stress, removed and refitted in "relaxed" state. See part here:

Thanks for the help.
