blobeye PPP question
Hi all,
This is my first post, so Hi to everyone!
Ive got a December '02 registered blobeye sti which I believe has the Prodrive package fitted.
Thing is the fella I bought it off said he didnt have the certificate, but assures me is got the said upgrades.
There's a ninja 2 backbox on it now but I have the prodrive one..
Anyone know how I can find out if it is definetly a PPP and if so get a certificate?
Thanks in advance
Ricky.

One sign is that there should be a blue prodrive plastic pipe visible under the intercooler when the bonnets open. This isnt a dead cert as it might have been done independantly though. Im pretty sure Prodrive/Subaru would be able to confirm if its got the PPP fitted if you supply them with the VIN number.

The early STi PPP consisted of a reprogrammed ECU, sports cat downpipe, decat mid pipe and rear box.The quickest thing to check will be the downpipe as it is an unusual shape.
The 02 version should be a twin pipe exit from the turbo and the sports cat will have a silver heat jacket around it.
If this isn't on then I doubt it is a PPP.

Dealers can get you a duplicate PPP certificate. STi's didn't get the blue intercooler hose as the red STi unit is more than up to the job. WRX's needed the Prodrive badged Samco item as the flimsy plastic ducting split under the increased boost. STi PPP also included an uprated Prodrive badged Walbro fuel pump.
