Hi Guys,

This is my first post and im looking for a bit of help if possible !

Ive had my 2003 impreza wrx for around 3 months now and everything was running perfect until yeaterday. I was driving along and out of the blue I heard a loud noise coming from the engine bay ? The noise can only be described as a loud whistling/siren/screaming noise ? I think this is coming from the turbo, however there has been no smoke but a big loss of power !

Now im not too techical but I suppose it could be the turbo dying ? Any ideas ?

If so would a replacement turbo from a damaged salvage car do the trick ? Would the turbo just bolt straight on or would anything else also need changing etc

Any help would be great.

Have you checked all your hoses? could be pressure coming out making the screeching noise?

Yes, I had my freind come round for an hour take the interooler off and check hoses. He said nothing was split, although there was some oil behind the intercooler ?

He works on cars everyday, but hes no subaru specialist !

Any good specialists in my area ? Im in Kent ?
