Default Removing o2 sensor

Over the week end i should be getting a wide band o2 sensor and a datalogit setup to support the apexi ecu.
Can i remove the original o2 sensor and leave it out?
As i will be fitting the new wide band one in its place. Which will be hooked up to laptop via datalogit not direct to ecu.
I'm sure it will just make the fuel run richer with out it but i can tune this out.
cheers

the same thing - I've got the zt-2 zetironix wideband, now waiting for fc datalogit to arrive through DHL.

I have thought about the OEM 02 sensor. In my car, wrx sti type ra ver2 it should be in the headers or uppipe. I will disconnect the wire from it, but leave it there. And since the zt2 has narrowband simulator - I am going to supply the Apexi with this only, the wire from original loom will be cut and disconnected...

and the wideband output 0-5v will be connected to AN1 or AN2 on datalogit box...

I have the ZT-2 as well, DONT install the wide-band sensor in the hole for the OEM sensor. It's too hot! I welded a new stainless boss on further down the down-pipe near the gearbox facing upwards. Zeitronix say it has to be at least 16 inches from the turbo or else it'll get damaged.
