Depends what boost you set it at! Dont go silly with boost setting.

with a safe amount of boost, how much bhp do you think i would get? Do you think the avc-r would be worth me buying, i want to get near 2 300bhp but dont want to remap.

You would be wise to get the mapping checked before increasing the boost above standard. You could quite easily end up with a blown engine.

A small amount above standard probably won't do any harm, however its a slippery path as you enjoy the increase in power and want more!

you will also hit fuel cut if you go to high which "should" help prevent engine damage. Ideally though to get the best out of it you are better having a remap as well otherwise you may just as well get the much cheaper dawes type device

There is an offer on here for an Ecutek remap for £400. To buy, install and to get someonr to setup the AVCR will cost around the same. IMO remap will get you over 300HP safely

Behind you!

Well if that isn't an ecutek then I thought wrong!

I assume this means you don't need to have Ecutek software / licence to remap the OE ECU anymore?

Either way it seems you can get your OE ecu remapped for £400
